Our Acceptable Use Policy, in accordance with our Terms and Condtions outline what we don't allow on our hosting services.

Acceptable Use Policy for our Shared and Reseller Service.

The following Acceptable Use Policy outlined in this policy are in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to amend, add or remove conditions of this policy at any time. You should check this page periodically for reviews of your agreement.

This agreement is between xNetworks (herein referred to as “we” or “us” or “our”) and you, as the Client (Herein referred to as “you” or “your”) regarding the website hosting services (referred to as the “service”) that we operate.

Prohibited Content

Clients must use the services provided for lawful, authorised purposes only. The transmission, storage, presentation of any information deemed in violation of any British law is strictly prohibited. Banned content includes, but is not limited to the following:-

Illegal Matieral(s) - including illegally exploited copyrighted works, commercial audio, video, or music files, and any material in violation of any regulation or material that is perceived to be misleading. 
 
Warez - This includes, but is not limited to, pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking, hacking, password cracking, IP spoofing and encrypting of any of the above. Also includes any sites which provide "links to" or "how to" information about such material.

HYIP - We do not allow any HYIP sites, or sites that link to or have content related to HYIP sites.

Proxy - We do not allow any proxy set-ups or connections or any sort of activity through remote proxy connections on our Shared Hosting or Reseller Hosting. The first offence committed by the Client will result in suspension of their Account. Any second violation will result in immediate Account termination.

IRC Hosts - Hosting an IRC server that is part of or connected to another IRC network or server or has a connection to an IRC network. Servers or virtual hosting accounts, found to be connecting to or part of these networks will be immediately removed from our network without notice. The server will not be reconnected to the network until such time that you agree to completely remove any and all traces of the IRC server, and agree to let us have access to your server to confirm that the content has been completely removed. Any second violation will result in immediate account termination.

Defamatory content - any website content that makes a false claim, expressively stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image.

Network Maintenance

Occasionally xNetworks or its sub-contractors may need to carry out essential maintenance to a specific service or part(s) of the network to ensure the integrity and quality of our services. This may involve closing parts of the network or restricting access to specific services for extended periods of times.

In such cases of planned downtime, we will do our very best to minimise the impact to you. We aim to keep downtime to a minimum, and perform upgrades during off-peak periods, or providing a replacement service whilst maintenance occurs.

xNetworks accepts no responsibility whatsoever arising from suspension of service in accordance with any SLA you may have.

Accounts and Account Security

Any clients found to be using services for any purposed as outlined in Clause 1 may have their account terminated without notice.

The Client agrees that they will not re-sell, sub-lease, reassign or in any way transfer any services to another entity unless prior permission has been granted by us. Reseller clients are exempt from this clause of this Acceptable Use Policy.

Your password provides access to your account only. It's your responsibility to keep this secure.

You must adopt adequate security measures to prevent or minimize unauthorised use of your Account.

Sharing your password and account with unauthorised users is strictly prohibited. You must take care and prevent others from using your account. You are responsible for the consequences arising from unauthorised use of your account.

The Client (You) agree that you will agree and stick to all terms as outlined for your account. All our Shared hosting packages entitle the client (you) to host one website, and any other works of that client. Hosting additional website's is not permitted on any of these accounts. Such accounts will be found, and suspended and invoiced for additional hosting for the period the web content was hosted.

Attempting to obtain another user's account password is prohibited, and will result in instant termination of service.

Network Security

You may not attempt to circumvent user authentication or security of any host, network or account. This includes, but is not limited to, accessing data not intended for you, logging into or making use of a server or account you are not expressly authorised to access, or probing the security of other networks. Use or distribution of tools designed for compromising security is prohibited. Examples of these tools include, but are not limited to, password guessing programs, cracking tools or network probing tools.

You may not attempt to interfere with service to any user, host or network or carry out DOS attacks. This includes, but is not limited to; "flooding" of networks, deliberate attempts to overload a service, and attempts to "crash" a host.

You agree and understand that users who violate systems or network security may incur criminal or civil liability. xNetworks will cooperate fully with investigations of violations of systems or network security at wither sites, including cooperating with law enforcement agencies in the investigation of suspected criminals.

Adult Content

We allow websites with legal adult content only. We do not allow pornographic or sexually-explicit images of children or any pictures/ video which are obtained illegally to host on our servers.

File-Size Limitations

You agree and understand that we impose a fair use policy on our shared package plans. This is to ensure that QOS (quality of service) can be guaranteed at all times. You agree and accept that in retrospect to this MySQL databases may be a maximum of 500MB each.

PHP Uploads are restricted to a maximum of 45mb per file, this is maintain the stability of our servers and network.

Fair Use and Quality of Service (QOS)

We guarantee the resources advertised on all our packages are available to you at anytime. To ensure that the advertised standards are met for all clients, we may restrict the use of some resources during peak hours, if it is deemed that you are using more resources than provisioned for your account.

If deemed necessary, we reserve the right to impose new terms and conditions on accounts which are using too many server or network resources .In such cases an upgrade will be offered to the client. If a client declines this they may be subject to Quality of Service (QOS) and Fair use policy (FUP) restrictions. They will be provided with a new terms of service in exchange for the one they are current enjoying. In such cases, new terms will introduced into the account, and the contract period continued.

We reserve the right to disable, remove, or suspend an application which is hosted on a shared hosting service without notification if the feature in question has been found to be detrimental to server performance.

Your account is assigned a bandwidth limit to ensure that QOS is maintained for all Clients. In the event of your account exceeding its bandwidth limit, we will email you to inform you. If you do not wish to purchase additional bandwidth, your account will be suspended until the following month when bandwidth limits are re-set. During this time we can not guarantee access to facilities such as FTP, Email and Domains.

You agree and understand that if you abuse the resources we provide in any way, we reserve the unqualified right to immediately deactivate your account without providing justification or refund.

Spam (Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE))

You agree and understand that spamming, sending unsolicited emails from our servers or using email addresses that are maintained by us is STRICTLY prohibited and will qualify your Account for immediate deactivation with no refund. We would be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this Clause.
